The JaZ-Ex Wheel has two ROM radius modes. Just like the ubiquitous wheels, one is adjustable using a handle that is slide able on a calibrated lever arm. The therapist is able to adjust the ROM arc for the needs of different users. The second uses four easy-to-grip balls for four fixed discrete ROM arcs without any adjustments needed. The largest arc is mounted on the perimeter of the wheel. Subsequent progressively smaller arcs require increased effort as ROM and strength improve. With the JaZ-Ex Wheel the therapist decides on the ROM arc and instructs the user which of the numbered balls to use for the desired exercise. Thus, unlike the adjustable mode, it frees the therapist for other duties while ensuring that the user is working under fixed parameters. The JaZ-Ex Wheel is made of warm elegant oak that can be mounted on a wall or a post.
